Banco de la Republica Colombia
House prices in Colombia. The Banco de la Republica Colombia publishes both quarterly and annual used housing price index, using loan appraisals reported by Davivienda, BBVA, Av. Villas, Bancolombia, Colmena BCSC and Colpatria. The index is calculated using the repeat-sales methodology and covers 6 cities - Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Soacha, Bello, and Envigado e Itaguí. It started in 1988. The Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadistica (DANE) releases quarterly house price index for new housing. DANE temporarily ceased publication of the New Housing Price Index in 2009 to revise and improve the methodology. They have released it again recently, now using a new methodology as well as the old methodology. It is based on selling price per square metre and stretches back to 1997.

Quarterly Change in house prices
|% change over a quarter (QoQ)|
This table shows the change in house prices during a single quarter.
The figures are not adjusted for inflation, so may overstate house price rises (or understate declines).
Four quarter's house price changes may NOT sum to the annual (year-on-year) change in house prices, for statistical reasons.
