Inheritance tax and law
INHERITANCE
Inheritance tax was abolished in Egypt in 1996.
A flat rate of 2.5% of the gross proceeds is levied on sales of real estate or building sites, within the boundaries of Egyptian cities. This tax applies even on transfers of property to spouses, descendants, and ancestors.
