Economics Team | June, 15, 2018
House prices in Norway. Statistics Norway publishes a quarterly Norway house price index by dwelling type and region. Statistics Norway gathers house price data data from major real estate agencies. Quarterly time-series are available from 1992. The Norwegian Association of Real Estate (NEF) releases monthly price per square metre for the average home of about 100 m2. The statistics cover homes that are advertised on FIND, i.e. between 1/3 and 1/2 half of all homes sold in Norway during the course of a year. It extends back to 2002.

Quarterly Change in house prices
|% change over a quarter (QoQ)|
This table shows the change in house prices during a single quarter.
The figures are not adjusted for inflation, so may overstate house price rises (or understate declines).
Four quarter's house price changes may NOT sum to the annual (year-on-year) change in house prices, for statistical reasons.
