Footnotes to Transaction Costs Table

The round trip transaction costs include all costs of buying and then re-selling a property - lawyers´ fees, notaries´ fees, registration fees, taxes, agents´ fees, etc.

Stamp Duty
For properties inside Yangon, stamp duty is levied at a flat rate of 6% of the property value as established by the appraisal committee. For properties outside Yangon, stamp duty is levied at a flat rate of 4% of the property value as established by the appraisal committee. Stamp duty is paid by the buyer.

Additional Tax
Additional tax is levied at a flat rate of 2% on the property value as established by the appraisal committee. The buyer pays for the additional tax.
