H�chst, Griesheim, Zeilsheim, Unterliederbach


Properties in  West HesseH�chst is a well-preserved historic district that dates back to 1355. It boasts some half-timbered houses dating back to 1586. It is a rather busy area, since it is a cultural hub. Among the venues here are Neues Theatre H�chst and huge Jahrhunderthalle concert hall. Its folklore festival, the H�chster Schlo�fest which includes a celebration in the old city, jazz concerts in the castle, and fireworks, draws many tourists in mid-June. This area is also known for its big research and production facilities.


Griesheim is a village-like area just five minutes away from downtown Frankfurt by train. The Main River runs through it in the south. Many people enjoy cycling, jogging, and promenading along its banks.


Zeilsheim has a rural character, with some early 20th century buildings. A church built in 1912 is in the heart of the district, while the K�the-Kollwitz school built in 1902 lies on its western borders. There is a great view of the Taunus Mountains from the outskirts of this district.


Unterliederbach (pop: 14,000) is known for its cultural centre, Jahrhunderthalle. This suburban area is 11 km west of the city centre. The Frankfurt city centre is easily accessible from here by bus.
