Trudering is a family-friendly residential area. It is a green neighbourhood, with farmlands and woods to its southern side. There are plenty of detached houses, plus apartment buildings of all sizes, set among gardens. There are stores, some cafes and restaurants. There is plenty of parking, but public transport in the area is not that good.
Riem is a pleasant little village. Many new apartment blocks are being built here. It boasts an enormous new trade fair complex, in an area once occupied by an airport. It has some shops that provide everyday needs, and a few eateries. There is also a sports field. Public transport is good, with plenty of bus connections and some metro lines. Parking is not a problem.
