Prague 12 includes the villages of Cholupice, Kamyk, Komořany and Modřany, and Prague-Libus.
The agricultural village of Modřany has some historical sites such as the Chateau, originally a Renaissance building that was rebuilt in the Baroque style in the 18th century when it was used as the summer residence of the Zbraslav abbots. One of the oldest factories in Europe—a sugar refinery—was built here.
Komořany has a meteorological station that provides meteorological information to the United States and United Kingdom.
Beautiful family villas have been built near forests and parks. There are also some schools and an airport for small aircraft near the village of Tocna. Presently, the industrial section of Prague 11 is along the river.
