Properties in Munich Germany

Munich is the third most populous city in Germany, with 1.3 million inhabitants. It is a centre of culture, and some consider its museums better than Berlin's. It is home to Germany's second largest university. Its architecture, restored after World War II, is stunning. It is very prosperous, and the centre of one of Europe's most prosperous regions, Bavaria.

The city centre of Munich looks much as it did at the end of the 19th century. The city is especially known for its Baroque and Rococo architectural gems. Munich also boasts glorious scenery, with the Alps just half an hour away from the city by train. The city is quite green itself, with several beautiful parks.

Munich is elegant and sophisticated. Many Germans would choose it as their favourite city. It becomes exponentially busier in October, when millions of people come in droves to take part in the annual Oktoberfest beer festival. It is no surprise that when people think of Germany, Munich and its frenetic energy is what they envision.

There are just a few possible disadvantages to living in Munich. Its people tend to be rather conservative. Also this beautiful and vibrant city is a rather expensive place to live. It offers plenty of residential choices, being divided into 25 boroughs and has an excellent public transport system
