The Khlong Toei Port serves as Bangkok’s only seaport. Located on the Chao Phraya River near the Gulf of Thailand, the port has limited capacity and can only accommodate moderate traffic. Because of this, much of the shipping operations were moved to the Laem Chabang Port in Chon Buri Province.

Khlong Toei has many attractions, including The Emporium, a luxury shopping centre; Khlong Toei Market, Bangkok’s largest wet market; and the Nana Plaza’s go-go bars and nightclubs. The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center hosts exhibitions all year round. The lovely Benjasiri Park, or the Queen’s Park, sprawls over 11 acres next to the Emporium. It has an ornamental lake. The park was built in 1992 to commemorate the queen’s 60th birthday.
