Haymarket (a prime area) is an inner city suburb in the southern end of the Sydney CBD, adjacent to Darling Harbour. It includes the localities of the Railway Square and Chinatown.

The suburb has been the site of Sydney’s produce markets from the early 20th century to the 1980s before it was transferred to a new site in Flemington. The only market in operation up to the present is Paddy’s Market, a flea market that is popular among locals and tourists.
