District XIII (jliptvros) is a great balance of everything available in the city. It is not too busy but at the same time, not dull. Clean, it is a friendly and safe area, perfect for families. The only disadvantage here is that it is a little far from the nearest private international schools.
The northern area of District XIII is a little different. The neighborhood of Angyalfld is slightly seedier, as many working class people live here. Although it has Duna Plaza shopping mall, it is farther out of Budapest's busy center.
Another shopping mall in the district is West-end City Centre, the largest shopping centre in the city.
District XIII is only known for its numerous antique shops.
A popular place in the area is the Margaret Island (Margitsziget). It gives residents and opportunity to get away from the busy life of the city.
The area also plays a different role in the city's transportation system. Outside of the Nyugati Train Station and the coach station at rpd Bridge, there is also a boat used for public transport.
Traditionally a middle-class suburb with decent housing, there are plans for the areas further development, with more accommodation designed for new residents.
