A suburb on the banks of the Grand Canal, Crumlin-Kimmage was named for a rugged glacial valley that is now a vast recreational park. Irish Republicans situated their training camp here in 1916. There are few places of interest in the district, but it is home to Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, the principal children’s hospital in Dublin.
