The round trip transaction costs include all costs of buying and then re-selling a property - lawyers´ fees, notaries´ fees, registration fees, taxes, agents´ fees, etc.

Transfer Duty
Transfer duty is levied at a flat rate of 5% on the property value exceeding BWP200,000 (US$20,000) for urban properties.

For nonresident individuals purchasing agricultural property, the transfer duty is levied at a flat rate of 30%.

Conveyance Fee
Conveyance fees are around 1% to 3% of the property value, plus 12% VAT. Conveyance fees are levied at the following rates:
