Ukraine: Economic freedom index, 5-year change

Increased economic freedom is strongly associated with high GDP growth, and therefore with rises in residential property prices. Changes in a country’s score on the Heritage Foundation’s freedom index are calculated by the Global Property Guide to produce a 5-point rating:

  • Greatly Improved
  • Improved
  • Nuetral
  • Worse
  • Much Worse

Source: Calculated using figures from The Heritage Foundation and the Wall Street Journal

Ukraine does not publish official house price statistics. In Real, a real estate company, publishes quarterly house price statistics. Colliers International releases a yearly Real Estate Market Review.

Ukraine has good economics statistics available from the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine and the Central Bank of Ukraine.
