Living There
The economic citizenship program of St. Kitts and Nevis was established in 1984 to attract foreign investors. The fact that it continues to this day is a testament to its success. As a citizen of St. Kitts and Nevis, you can enjoy tax-free living in the Islands and visa-free travel to over 70 countries. Furthermore, by obtaining a second passport, you get all the benefits without having to renounce your original citizenship.
To avail of this program, you must invest at least US$200,000 in ten-year Treasury Bonds issued and guaranteed by the Government, or US$250,000 in investment projects, or US$100,000 in real estate, and pay application costs as follows:
- US$35,000 for single applicant
- US$15,000 for each dependent (including spouse, and two unmarried children under the age of 18)
- Citizenship Certificate at US$47 each
- Passports at US$13 each
The application process takes about six to twelve weeks, after which you will be granted citizenship. It will be very convenient for you since there is no interview required, and your passports and other documents can simply be mailed to your home.
